I have a file I need to burn to VCD whihc is just 3 or four Megabytes too big. Any ideas on how to make it a little shorter (I can't cut anything out of the movie, it's the 2nd half)

3 or 4 mb's is nothing, you can overburn that. I'm gonna assume you are using nero to burn.

Click File - Preference. Click the expert features tab and enable obverburn. Set the maximum to 99 minutes and then try burn the cd. Nero will ask you do you want to overburn so just click yes!

Acually, I'm using VCDeasy, but is it still OK to overburn it? I'm using 700mb discs, and the file is 698mb and VCDeasy says the disc will be 702mb, so I can just overburn it and it should fit?

Oh God ye that will fit. 702mb is nuthing. Here is something to remember

VCD go by minute not megabit so take 80mins = 800mb so if you see 80mins on a 700mb disk then you can burn 800mb vcd!
