    Hey i have a toshiba equium m70.

I need to upgrade the harddrive. Just wondering....in PC's there are different types of harddrives...SATA and IDE mainly.

Does this apply to laptops? I know its a 2.5" harddrive....so is that all the info i need? Will every 2.5" harddrive be compatable?

Thank you, just a quikie. Let me know.

should be easy tho never done yet a sata drive for a laptop. just watch how you do it when removing old hd & do the reverse for new hd. another option because you'll have to reload windows & programs is to use an external hd. i got 1 for my desktop that i use sometimes on customers' computers when needing larger capacity then a usb flash drive. mine is a 2.5" wd ide drive in an usb 2.5" drive enclosure.
