Just wasted two BR disks

    Well, new computer...new OS, New version of Nero. Wasted two $19+ dollar Blue-Ray Disks. Any idea why?

    I agree, however no data...0 bytes.

    It wrote the framework for the filesystem however it did not write any files.

    So I need BD-R/RE or BD DL disks. I will give that a try.

    BD-r disk was unopened when i tried to burn it. There is another problem.It should not have been no space. And I have loads on my hard drive.

    To be honest with you, I know nothing about these discs, is your burner capable of burning them.

    If I understood this correctly, you are trying to burn BD-R media in your Matshita BD-RE UJ-220 with Nero 7 or Nero 8 Ultra.
    If this is the case, Nero doesn't support BD-R media, only BD-RE. Even with the Blu-ray plug-in, it only allows to to Play HD or Blu-ray (BD-ROM) media.

    I have used Verbatim & Fujifilm BD-RE with very good results. Try Googling BD-RE media. Sometimes you can find it on sale for under $20.
    If you are using a Dell XPS M17xx, I would be curious to know if you can see the file structure on either a demo or rental BD-ROM. Dell replaced the Matshita BD-RE UJ-220 and I can no longer see the files on the media with Windows Explore, however I can burn BD-RE movies and play them.

    That is exactly what drive I have and computer M1730. Just received it Nov 28th. I will get a movie and let you know. Thanks for your suggestions.
