Confused here. Is updating via null modem the same as updating online?

Losing the will to live with this null modem USB converter cable.

 

is this another update again cact..updated sunday so this is another ????

yes second update, you can flash box manually or if possible and lucky online update ,either way can be used and check system info is dated 19012015 then factory reset/rescan as per the rules.
any new updates are posted with a new date like 19jan2015=19012015

 

Seems to be another update.. dated 20/01/2015... i updated at 5am.. and it went thro fine... but still glitched jus once in a few minutes...

 

mine loaded fine until about 60% then went very slow so left over night, got to 100% and stuck there, so switched off box at rear then rebooted tried again and everything did 100%.

 

Thank you for the 5am shout. Took ten minutes.
All done and no messing with USB-null modem cable.
Back to the shop with that!!!

Hi having the same problem updating all night, about 2/3rds completed, just checking previous update was dated August last year. So am I up to date?

 

online software update is doing my head in keeps getting to 99% then stops ive left it downloading now for 2 days and its still at 99%,,,,,please some one heeeeeeelp

 

Hi guys after it downloading all night only 60% I stopped the update, switched the box off from the back of it. and then 10 mins later switched it back on. Then re-started the update which went through perfectly!! I think it seems the best time to push thru this update is early morning like Cactikid has said b4!!

 

Agree with that. Left mine on from midnight to 5am but was only on 80%.
So i switched off, tried again and it worked in less than 10 minutes.

Up at 5am straight download all done 2 mins thanx to all I am still using 2010 firmware

 

My LFC TV doesn't work anyone else having this problem can't live without watching the youngsters play sad I know

current date of firmware is 20012015 and a factory reset/rescan is needed

lfc will never work again as its a pay per view service extra.

 

been trying for a week now,gets to 99% and no further,rebooted after every failed attempt,please tell me I dont have to set the alarm clock for 5am.
