I would have to Google them up. I would get rid of McAffe and run a decent virus detection program and Malwarebytes. Running multiple virus detection and malware detection is not a good idea. They may conflict with each other and running Antimaleware which does the opposite of what you are trying to do will slow the computer down to a crawl in some cases because you invited stuff that is very intrusive. The only time you only run SiSoft is when you are an overclocker trying to optimize performance. You have to build a desktop to run at decent overclocking speeds. Windows has utilities that will tell you what is going on without adding useless garbage. Another words, you no need to do some house cleaning with the laptop.

jeffs right.get rid of macafee and get a good free antivirus like avira and turn the windows firewall on.i would also delete the following using hijack this.

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file)

other than that,if you dont know where the file dealplyie.dll came from or you have no dealings with dealply, get rid of it.i would also lose most of your bho browser helper objects.keep google, java, and jqsiestartdetectorlmpl.and finally, unless you actually use it for anything lose the adaware toolbar.hope this helps.Al.

If you really think its still messed up I would recommend you find your computer's OS install discs and do a nice reformatting. microshaft recommends its crappy software be redone every 6 months or so for a average user. also if your not "in love" with MS linux mint is a nice and really easy to use distro of linux. I currently dual-boot windows xp and linux mint. xp only for games really :p

ive reformatted my xp exactly twice in five years.both times it was my fault for doing something stupid.like any other operating system its housekeeping that keeps them fresh.your log looks clean to me.if i was you i would download and run ccleaner to get rid of junk files and to clean your registry.regular use of this as well as a good defragger will keep you up and running just fine.Al.

This is xp not win 95,98 or ME your comment of reinstall every six months is wrong & does not apply unless you were constantly testing software or some major install uninstall all the time & such like, however if that were the case you'd have a backup image ready.

That said i do agree a reformat would be better this time round reason being & assuming it was infected, there's no way of knowing what damage has been done to certain files until you need them etc, etc, however as i said previously a backup image needs to be created after reinstall, better make that up to 5 images at varying states of install, the final image taken when everything is set how one wants it,then set your imager to make weekly discardable backups as space gets low

easeus todo is free, you can have a fully operational OS up & running with all software & updates in an hour or two

ultradefrag is pretty good & only a few kb in size & free of coarse only issue is you'd have to manually set it to defrag unless your good with scripts, however it does have a scheduled boot time defrag of page file & hybernation file if required in it's settings, since neither of those can be defragged while windows is running

you can find other likewise software in software section or at any place like filehippo etc

I would would not do fresh install until he asses any possible damage that has been done.I also use East-Tec Eraser on a daily basis to delete tracking BS that doesn't show up as normal cookies. People would be very surprised how much personal and Windows tracking goes on behind your back. If he doesn't have a back-up it could take days reinstalling software. Besides that, reinstalling software if your keycodes and passwords are in disarray, it could take longer contacting customer service to recover things.

It should be second nature to make a back-up at least once a week which is also dependent on how much and what you use your PC for. Then defrag the hard drive after you check things out and not before.

you know,it would be a good idea to read all the posts first before giving uninformed, half assed advice like that.it looks like hes got it sorted out to me.im not at all convinced he has a virus in the first place.not to mention the fact that he posted back and said it was fixed.

damn, sorry about my earlier post.hadnt had my coffee yet.its just that i feel that a reinstall is not the first solution, but rather a last resort.on a lighter note i do believe we helped the op fix his problem and, after all, thats the whole point, isnt it?
