I have been searching and trying to find the easiest bst way to hookup my laptop to my tv. Laptop has a 7 pin s-video out, a DVI in and a regular vga out. My tv has a 4 pin s-video a bunch of component (think thats the work, 2 cables white, yellow, red), and a dvi in. ANy help would be greatly appreciated....

Your TV has DVI? That's not very common. Also, you'll probably find the DVI port on your laptop is for output. I've yet to see a laptop where you can use Video in on the DVI port (that would be pretty sweet though).
If you can use DVI, go for it. That would work much better.

Thanks for the reply. Both the dvi on the laptop and the tv are female.
I'll try to find a dvi plug hen.
    Thanks
