I was wondering since old veresions of the PS2 can't play dvd+r is it the laser that just can't read them? In that case can I get a laser that is made for the newer version and then would it play dvd+r?

Try asking the person that does your backups or simply attempt to play them. In either case, you have your original and should be able to make another backup.

you can adjust the laser on the PS2 so i will read rewritables and writers?

take your PS2 apart and there is a 2 screws.turn them in the right direction and the laser will read whatever.

search for it on the internet .if you cant find it i know a website??

has anyone done this to theirs PS2.i want to do it to mine
