legal in canada?

    Hi lets say i download a movies or songs in canada
    can i get sued for that?
    if i use peerguardien 2 will it help me?

    Canada has confusing laws when it comes to copyrights.

    I don't think you can get sued, but you also shouldn't mention to anyone that you are downloading a movie. Right now Corporate America is trying to push their weight around and put in stricter laws.

    I don't think there is anything wrong with an internet screening before buying your product, that guarantees you'll like the product you buy.

    No, you won't get sued in Canada but you could get the boot from your ISP if the RIAA/MPAA is continually bugging them because of your downloading habits. You will be notified by your ISP each time they do. Definitely use PeerGuardian.
