LG burner don`t recognize CDs

    I have an LG GSA-4167B dvd drive and a couple of days ago it stop reading CDs. It still read and burn dvd`s but no CDs. I updated to latest firmware DL13, but the problem perists. Any suggestion please?

    How old is this drive?

    Run a laser cleaning disk through it.

    The Drive is only 6 month old, I did a lens cleaning and still the same problem,it looks like CDs are a "very old" media for this drive.

    Ok, how old are the CDs themselves?

    What make are these CDs?

    Some drives are just picky about what media they like; especially LGs.
