Limewire

    people have been saying alot about how horible limewire is because it uploads EVERY thing you have on your drive even person information is this true? and if so is there a beter file shareing programing

    no only things that you have in your shared folder but you have to be carefull on what to put in your folder

    in ares you can also specify the min/max for uploads, not sure in limewire

    ive moved on from limwire i now use bearshare which is good or ares both are very good limewire has lots of viruses

    Does barshare connect to any other networks than gnutella? Thats what I like about ares, because it only connects to the ares galaxy network and thats it.

    all of them P2P sharing programs have spyware up the ass. you guys should be smart and learn how to use torrents. they dont have near as much spyware and you rarely get corrupted files. It is also allot safer. download utorrent from www.utorrent.com and once thats installed. then use www.thepiratebay.org to get your programs, games, music ect.

    bearshare connects to any server as far as i know ive never had any problems with it just install it then rock nad roll

    lucky torrents is also very good like the man says

    the only prob Ive had with torrents is trying to get the port forwarding settings to actually work for me. I have used it, just pain to get working right...

    I hate it that Limewire copies two of the same file on the computer.

    Then you got to go back and delete the 2nd one.

    In answer to your question,i think limewire is excellent but does give you a piece of spyware,which is easy to remove.the spyware is called"stub installer".
