I'm looking to extend my wireless range in my house. Is there a wireless amplifacation unit out there? If so, does the amplifier have to be physically tied via ethernet cable to a router, or can I put the unit at the weakest signal point and extend my area in this manner. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

If you have an issue with a weak signal because of the space between the router and the wireless. You may just need to buy an seperate antena and disconnect the old antena and plug the new long one in and it should strengthen the signal.

The long one ive seen is done by Dlink.

they also have signal extenders you can buy. put it at some point between the good and bad signal and extend it. Which may be the same as what borhan9 was speaking about.
