Lite-on SHM-165H6S

    Fairly new at this....I recently bought a Lite-on 165hs. Burned a couple DVD's and I'm curious why CD-DVD Speed shows that they were recorded with Sony DW-G121AHSOE. My system recognizes the drive as the Lite-on. If memory serves me right, I read that Sony and Lite-on had teamed up. Can someone tell me if I have a ligitimate Lite-on drive or not?

    You have a legit LiteOn drive in the respect that LiteOn and Sony make drives together. They use the same chipsets in their drives. You can crossflash it to the LiteOn version of the drive, however. Here is a guide...
