Iam trying to find out how to change the bitsetting on this drive to reflect DVD-ROM. Lite on says it supports this, but I cant find the page to enable dvd-rom book type. Current firmware is MSOR. Can anyone help please?
Hi 1REDS1 If you use Nero - Nero will automatically booktype +R media on this drive. Well at least Nero 7 does. If your not using Nero LiteOn has a utility to do it. Download the utility - run it - have a +R disc in the drive and change the booktype to DVD-Rom. Now burn w/ your program of choice. LiteOn Booktype Utility
My version of NERO is 6.6, it does not give me the option to booktype this drive....but the utility worked great ! ! Many thanks to BLINKIE
You're welcome Since Nero isn't automatically booktying you can set it manually in Nero if you like. Pop a blank in go to ToolKit>cd-dvd speed>extra>bitsetting. You can change it there also. Either that way or the utility will do the trick.
