Does it read the disc before you reset? Is it all discs you have problems with, or just backups?

The first time it reads (I can see the infinity logo v 1.2 ) but ends with read error and after resets it only shows the configuration screen.
If I unplug the PS2 and let it stay for a time than it starts all over again. I ca'nt find any bridges
    What are critical points?

An original disk is in the PS2 v10

As SCE says, try flashing the chip.
