1.is a cable reciever 2.throught your tv(link a dvd player) 3.all hte channels on ntl digital 4.yes its availabe in uk and ireland 5.all you need is basic cable 6.i don't know what that is (i am from dublin) 7.it depends what site you get it off.be carefull when buying 8.you just out the ntl cable in th back it doesn't work with sky

mtv, paramount,bbc 1&2,channel 4,sky sports 1&2&3 but you don't get sky one.from what read is you get 300 channels
