This might souund like a stupid question, but I must get a definitive answer to it anyway. I would like to purchase the Lite-on LTR-52327S but I need to make sure that it is compatible with windows 98 (1st edition). The lite-on website shows that it is compatible with Windows 98SE only. I have looked at the product descriptions on a bunch of retailer sites and some say win 98, and some only say win98SE. I e-mailed lite-on but haven't received a response. If someone knows the correct answer to this question it would save me alot of time. Below is a paste from the lite-on site that I am looking at.

    Thanks in advance

More than likely it just hasn't been tested on 98. Just 98SE. I couldnt see any reason why it wouldn't work with 98.
