    Hi,
I have installed my chip carefully using recommended wire etc. I have had the machine booting all media but have discovered a possible short with the wiring.
At the moment the machine when turned on boots up and then displays the standard ps1 logo followed by the ps2 logo screen. It then asks for you to set the language, etc.
Im suspecting the bios wires. Can anyone give me more details if this is where I should be looking for a short before I start to pull apart my install :-(
    Any info very much appreciated.
    Ta, Heliotrope

Hi again, Just fix the problem! So if anyone gets the mentioned boot screens the wire that were touching are H and I. Managed to move/remove the solder with a scalpel. Everything works a treat :). Slightly sensitive with cheap -R but my Dataright -R works OK. Probably have a go next adjusting the laser slightly. All CDR over a range of media's all work.
    Cheers,
