magnets?

    Does the presence of magnets around the PS2 affect the gameplay or the internalworkings of the PS2?

    it is possible magnets and electronics do not mix very well with each other so I would keep my electronics away for anything magnetic

    Why don't you throw a speaker magnet in your computer and find out. lol j/k man. yes, magnets play havoc on computer chips, as well as chips in a PS2. Why do u ask this did u mess up your PS2?
