Anyone know? B/c MS paint surely won't do it. I don't have PSP or Photoshoppe, but can anyone point me to a small, free application? I just need a quick fix; nothing special.

    Thanks

download free photoshop from adobe's site.... :)

    or u could use gimp.

there's a way to do it using that, but i'm not sure of what exactly it entails.

I just found out you can save 256 colour bmps. I had no idea 256 was 8 bit... That's much easier than I thought. And I already d/ld GIMP last night and messed around w/ it. Looks like a great app!

he figured it out, he wasn't aware that 256bitmap is 8bit bitmap.
