Hello, my computer's motherboard broke so I took my hd out and tried to hook it up to another motherboard but it wouldn't boot. What should I do?

reinstall xp. but if you dont want to lose any files set that hard drive up as a slave and reinstall a different HD and install xp on it.

I don't have the recovery discs. Is there anyway I can make a recovery disc as a slave on another computer?

Try putting the CD in and then booting from it and then doing a repair install.

then get 1. most likely dead board uses different chipset from working board so xp barfed. to get xp to work on dead board hd as master on working board you have to re-install windows on that drive or ghost current working board hd onto dead board hd. will loose any info you want off the dead board hd unless you save it.
