Does anyone know how to mask their IP while downloading torrents? Does the program Hide IP work with torrents? Can you use a proxy for torrents? If so, where can I find a proxy?

    Please let me know.

There is a program called PeerGuardian that will help protect you from intrusion.

Most clients support proxys and SOCKS4/5

What you can do is login to the torrent site using the proxy then in utorrent set the report hostname to tracker as the proxys ip address happy ratio mastering.

Although you could use a proxy, this would most likely be looked down upon by proxy owner since it would seriously eat up bandwidth.

While I don't think it's possible to mask your IP on torrents, you can use other file sharing methods if your paranoid enough. You could you Freenet, but it's mostly illegal porn, or something like MUTE filesharing but I'm not sure that network is very developed. There are probably a few other programs/networks out there but Freenet and Mute are probably your best bet.
