Hi im new to this, ive searched alot of threats looking for an answer to this, i know i shouldnt start a new thread but i thought this was the quickest way to get help Ive been trying to copy the sims 2 for weeks now, ive even bought a new burner (plexter 716a), ive read that it can efm code and it is a '2 sheep burner'. Ive copied games before and this is the first real 1 ive had trouble with, ive used alocohol 120% clone cd 5 and blindwrite 4.5.7, im runnin out of ideas now, i dont want to have to emulate, can anyone help me???
It'd help if you listed what apps you've tried and the related settings, profiles and burn speeds you've used.
ive used alcohol, 192.75 blindwrite 1.4.7 n clonecd 5, ive used as slow settings as i can for reading (1x) and same for writing, but with writing on alcohol it will only let me use 10X i ave used safedisc and safedisc 2/3 for alcohol protected cd for clone cd i used ur settings with ur plex premium for blindwrite
Let me add my 2pennies worth, as clonecd likes to blacklist games try uninstalling clonecd and see if this doesn't work.
no gud doesnt work, with different copies its iether froze or its had an error, can the plextor 716a actaully copy safedisc 3??
cd lad, ive tried it on another pc aswel in a dvd rom n it dont work, still get dat message, ave u got a 716a or ave u copied the sims 2?? also wen i scanned it with a ray, it says safedisc 2/3 not safe disc 3.X
Negative..I have a Pioneer DVR-109. Im guessing your burn didn't go to well even though everything say's it went well, somtimes that happens. I would suggest reburning. Maybe your results will be different. What media are you using BTW.
Try looking in this thread, you may find answers. (soory to say I havn't read the whole thread but it may still help) http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/109246
I don't know if this will help you or not, but download AnyDVD and then try to copy the game with CloneCD or Alcohol 120.
I don't think it'll work (anydvd) since it has to write the protection back to the cd-r, not strip them out.
But isn't that the point? Wouldn't that make it better so it appears the original protection is there?
AnyDVD strips the protection from the disc so you can copy it right? So that means he should be able to make a copy with any program just fine.
so......... wot am i supposed to do then??? do i need data position measurement enabled??? or anythings else on alcohol, wot profile shud i use if im using clone cd???
I didn't mean that it literally strips the protection off, but it does make it seem as if the protection is not there. It works for DVD and audio cd, so I thought maybe it would work for pc games as well. Sorry if I'm wrong.
that dont help at all for starters no 1 have found a solution yet and it is for the dvd version, do u not have any idea of how 2 do this??
