Hi ppl I got a pre mod PSTwo with Matrix Infinity in it. However, after I tried out a game I burned myself, the chip is not booting up correctly, thus it brings me to the screen that says "please insert a playstation disc...." I tried going into the configuration and setting the boot mode to ON. then after I reset not even the Sony Entertainment screen comes up.....it just stayed black forever. Not until I press reset the usual Sony Entertainment screen comes up. Has anyone encountered the same problem? Can someone pls help?

Sounds like you might have the Homebrew version.

have you tried the tips in the info

    UPGRADING INFINITY:
    -------------------

    - Insert the burned CD into the PS2 and press reset.
The CD should boot authomatically and you will be presented with the Upgrade sreen.
    - Follow instructions on screen to upgrade Infinity.

[bold]- NOTE : You can always recover from a bad flash by hoding the reset button until
==== the blue eject light turns on. This will let you boot the upgrade disc
    to reflash your Infinity.[/bold]
