Hey, I'm interested in getting my boyfriend an internal HD and HD Advance 2.0 (so I can back my games up on his PS2 haha). Been reading the forum and I've gotten some mixed results and contradictions.

I purchased the Maxtor 160GB Ultra ATA hard drive at 7200rpm. I've heard that HD Advance can't support drives greater than 120gigs and also, that they can. Plus, according to the HD Compatibility Chart at http://ps2drives.x-pec.com/?p=&v_br...&v_working=&v_version=&v_adaptor=&v_postedby= it would work, although it's not supposed to support hard drives with an ATA interface.

Someone pleasae spell it out for me! Will this 160GB ATA drive work? No conflicts with the network adapter for a PS2?

Psst, by the way, check Office Depot and Staples...these 160GB drives are marked down to only $69.99 (from $109.99!!!!). Rumor has it, another $40 rebate at Office Depot if you price match...

    Thanks!!!
