I used this tutorial to fix my disc formatting problem that occured during disc burning sessions and un-installed my Primary and Secondary IDE channels. The tutorial said that after I restart the computer, it should re-install the deleted channels, however it doesn't, and as a result my CD-Rom drive disappeared! Help please?

restart the computer so windows will find & load it's driver which it probably won't. after restart than go into device manager to see if exclamation mark is there & is there an error code. if there is an error code than post it here.

The tutorial is the proper way to do it. If it didn't correct the problem, your burner may be on its way out.
