An exploit is like a hole or glitch sort of in the PS2. For some reason the PS2 checks the PS2 memory card everytime a PS1 game is started witch is the exploit. Its used to start .ELF files (PS2 executables [.exe]) on an unmodded PS2 usually such as HDloader/HDadvance. So what you have to do is create an install disk for the .ELF file and choose a PS1 game to trigger it. Then start it up on a modded PS2 or one with a swap trick and install the ELF to the memory card then you can put the desired PS1 disk in and the ELF will boot on any PS2 with that memory card and PS1 game. This exploit was removed however as of v11 PS2s.
