    I ripped my psx game and got 2 files: an .mdf an a .mds.

    Do i need the .mds for anything? about to use popstation to convert mdf into eboot

    You only need the the bigger one of both files. The smaller one just is an index, in case you want to burn the game again.
    By the way, Popstation only supports Iso, Cue, IMG and PBP. You should rip your games as iso.

    ok thanks, i meant to say simple popstaion GUI by zinga, the readme says mdf files are good
