ok so i ripped a dvd to my harddrive useing dvd decryptor and left out the menus. I want to know if there is a way to make a menu without having to reencode the dvd files. I usually use nero to make a menu when doing .avi to DVD but it seems a waste to reencode the dvd files when they don't need to be. ~~Thanks

Nero claims that 'Smart Encoding' does not reencode compliant mpeg2.

If it takes a lot less than the running time, I suspect it's not reencoding.
