    oh hello...

I have a PAL PS2 with a Messiah 2 modchip installed. I'm trying to play [bold]original[/bold] PS1 NTSC US games and the "Please insert Playstation format disc" message is appearing every time. I thought the Messiah 2 is compatible with both PS1 and PS2 copied/import etc.

Is there anything I need to do to make this work or is it not compatible?

Also, what is the best modchip for ps2?

    Thanks

Ok I've got them working now but does anyone know why there is a huge black border at the bottom of the screen? The game is Xenogears.

NTSC games display at a different frequency than PAL games. That is how they control the regions since we speak the same language(english). Some games have patches that fix this, you will just have to do a search to find them. Here in the US a PAL game doesnt stay still on the screen. The picture constantly jumps and is in Black and White. I hope that helped some.

Are there any modchips that play PAL Imports on an NTSC machine perfectly or at least near perfect?

I'm expecting to get an original PAL game (for writing a review) and need to be able to test it very well in my NTSC PS2.

    Thanks
