Microsoft Word - Mail Merge

    I have a mail merge document that uses an Excel spreadsheet as its data source. I have a date field in the spreadsheet which is set to the format that I want, ie., "dd-mmm-yyyy". How do I force the mergefield in Word to do the same? It seems to ignore whatever I do. Where does Word get its date formatting from? The regional settings in Control panel have no effect.

    Have you tried the built in help files in word?

    Yes, they don't help.
