    Hello,
I have 4 controllers with two without 8th pin. (when you count from left in the direction it's plugged into the ps2) I have looked on many sites and many users claim that this pin was unnecessary and thus was removed in later controllers, but only the controllers without this pin have a disfunctional d-pad and square, cross, circle and triangle buttons. This could be coincidence, but then I think it's very strange that this only happens with the controller without the pin. If this is the problem, how should I fix it?
    greetings,

I guess that you have to find a controller with the extra pin, right? Good luck.

Thanks. The second one has a good connector but a bad cable, it works, but it looks really bad. I think some pieces of ductape might help, but is there a way to swap connectors?
