I have ffdshow installed for my decoding purposes. Which according to video inspector, it should be sufficient.

    It says video is MPEG4.
    It says audio is DTS.
ffdshow claims to decode both these formats.

What I find odd is when i convert to a DVD, the vob files will play the audio fine but when i load the DVD via the IFO files or bup files there is no audio playback.

I have tried the playback of the MKV in VLC and it plays fine so I dont think it is a problem with the MKV.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi,

Maybe on the computer, there's DTS filters / Codec call it anyway you want :) that will let you play DTS (Probably) converts it to some other playable audio.

On a DVD Player, if the audio is DTS, you need a DTS Capable home system, else, there will be no sound.

    It's all I know since I aint a video GURU :(
