i have a duo2 se in my v7 ps2 and if all you want from a chip is one that will boot backup games then it works well

V7 modded with an Apple mini; no problems booting PS2 or PS1 backups or originals including newer games like GTA-SA or Star Wars Battlefront. Also reads my dvd movie backups with no problems. I think as long as you get a no swap chip installed by someone who knows what they're doing, you should be fine.

Let's stick to a single thread per question. Multi-posting is against the rules, and a quick search tells me this is the second time you've re-posted a question.

I have a duo2 and it is a very good and reliable chip.

I would also say that it is the easiest chip to install in nearly all versions.

Whats the difference between the matrix infinity chip and the duo2se, the matrix is like 123 dollars on socalmods.com and the duo2se is only 85 dollars...
