I need some help on this one. My son has a version 4, serial # U5 PS2 and would love to get him a modchip but not sure of which one and were to get it professionally installed with less than 30 days before Christmas. Only the best will do. Also would love to be able to back up/copy some games. I have a Dell PC with a DVD+R burner. What do I need to get the ball rolling?

DMS3, Messiah2 and magic 3.1 or magic V would the major players mod wise. There's also a new one called DUO. magic 3.1 would be ok in your system but it doesn't boot from browser. Magic V, messiah 2 and DUO all pretty much have the same function. DMS3 has a flashable feature which lets you update the mod firmware from a CD.

Do a search. When I was researching my modchip and where to get it from/installed, I came up with like at least a half dozen sites if not more.
