    Hi!
    I have a 77004 ps2, with a matrix infinity (chip actel pro asic apa057).
I had my ps2 modded by some non trustable guy who made the vibrating function in the joypads not more working.
Btw this is not the problem.
One year ago it stopped working. i opened and i saw that 2 cables (U and V) were not attached anymore.
Now, after one year i tried the ps2 (that loaded normally, but without the Matrix logo) and it worked with original games.
I attached the two cables in their original positions (without mistakes).
Now the matrix logo appears, but the dvd reader makes the disk turn intermittently, 5° right then stop, 5° right then stop, 5° left then stop, and this keeps going.
I hope to have explained quite good, what to you think it happened?
What do you think i have to do? Or wich other info do you need to help me?
    Thank you! ;)

    update:
I tried to remove the dvd module (laser+ around stuff).
I re-inserted the pin jacks in the sockets and now, there's also a noise of the motorized screw that doesn't stop to spin then the laser reach the end of the rail :(

Fixed the problem with the laser module, now remains only the problem about the movement of the dvd spin
