I've been searching all night in order to find the answer to my question, but each search resulted in more questions. Is it really possible to mod a 360 via the usb and without having to open it up/voiding the warranty? And does this modding allow the 360 to play back-ups? A link to the guide, if possibel, would be great.
    Thanks

    Not Possible.

You need the VIA SATA Chip Card and Some Sata Cable to connect to the computer to the 360 dvd drive. Im to tired to explain but that the question has been asked; not possible.

this would require you to open up your 360 to flash it anyhoo; this will void your warranty as well.

and if you flashed your 360 with the latest firmware; u can play any backups, but games with SS Patches is recommended to prevent you from getting the "Ban Hammer" pounded on your 360.
