a lot of reviews are saying the 8800GT cards with a C2D output under 250W. so wattage should be fine, but it only has 18A on the 12V rail, and the 8800GT is rated to have at least 26A... i dont think it will work, but nvidia and ATI, include other components when considering the wattage and Amperage. PS wattage is over rated. just because a PSU can use upto 500W, doesnt mean it will reach that. and cheap ones, could use upto 1000w from the mains to convert to the 500W needed. they are not efficient, and the Amps on the V12 rails are always bull
I only use something stupid like 18A on my 12V rail at full load, thats the CPU, Graphics cards, Hard disks, the lot. Nonetheless, that is 18A. If that's all the 430W thermaltake can manage, you may be pushing it.
thanks guys. i think i will try it with my psu and if id doesnt work right i will just order another one.
PSU sure is a difficult to choose...for the right AMPs this is the one i can find...with the right amps... http://www.thermaltake.com/product/Power/ToughPower/W0131/w0131.asp
Usually it takes a bit more effort than that. Organising an international courier to do it for you. Not cheap though, if I'm honest.
yes thats the problem... do you know any good International Couriers?...well of course, lower cost...
