    Hey guys.
I have a v180 and for some reason, I am not able to send text messages.

It worked previously.. then all of a sudden.. it didn't.

It's terribly frustrating. I have to attach a pic and send a media message instead of txt every time - and that's more expensive. =/

I wasn't able to even receive messages at one point, but I fixed that by changing something in the inbox setup menu or whatever.

So yah.. I can't send txt messages. It says that it failed, then it saves the message in the outbox.

Anyone have any suggestions or know how to solve this problem?

    Thanks so much. =)

    .jess.

what provider do you have? because i have t-mobile and their customer service is awesome, they have replaced 4 phones for me because i messed them up doing seem hacks and whatnot. i deal with cingular cust.service and they suck, but verizon is ok.

    Yah.. I have Cingular..
    Bleh.
I'm almost afraid that Cingular can't help me anyway.
It's more of a phone issue than a provider issue.

yeah cingular cust. service sucks. i had a simular problem on my cingular phone a few weeks ago and the problem was the sms gateway number was wrong. call cingular and ask them to give you an updated number. also are you sending like 1+area code? because cingular automaticaly puts this in for you, so if you are sending a mesage to 1-805-123-4567, it would get send as 11-805-123-4567. hope this helps!
