I'm having a SERIOUS problem with my mouse.
It won't move or perform any activity.
It just stands in the middle of the screen, clicking does nothing, neither moving.
My mouse is Logitech G5, with wire.
I've installed the needed Logitech drivers (Logitech Setpoint), but it didn't help me.
I tried re-installing the Logitech drivers, but didn't help anyway.
I think the problem is that Windows cant recognize the mouse.
    I have tried windows update.
I tried moving the mouse to different USB port, i tried all six i have.
The problem is not actually the mouse, but something with windows.
How do I know? I changed the mouse for "working one", but same type. G5.
When i go to mouse, and go see what's the product name, the field is blank.
So it means i have no mouse. So windows can't spot it.
When i go to (what do you call it?) (Objecthandling?), i can't see no mouse there.
Only USB devices, my mouse uses USB devices, but it's neither there.
In the USB devices list, theres three objects:
-Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller
    -Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller
    -Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller

ALL OF THESE HAVE THE YELLOW CIRCLE WITH ! IN IT.
As you see, there's two same controllers.
So theres problems with these 3 devices.
If anyone knows how to fix them, please tell me!
    I'm not using laptop.
You mean to restart windows, or reinstall?
    MY MOUSE DOESN'T MOVE.
I used keyboard to get this far to type this post.
    Thanks already..

moved to correct forum. use a ps2 mouse if laptop has connector for it to uninstall the 3 usb controllers & restart windows so it can find the devices & load it's drivers.
