Move data from Dish DVR 521 to PC

    I have a Dish Network Receiver/DVR 521 and recorded an old movie on it. I would like to transfer the data to my PC. I see that the receiver/DVR has a USB port. However when I connect it to my PC (Windows XP Professional) it does not get recognized or connect.

    Any help in getting this connected would be appreciated.

    Good Question. I would like to know the same thing. I have a LOT of movies on my DVR that I want to transfer to my computer to burn onto a DVD. Let me know if you find out how.

    Look for a Yahoo Group called Dishrip. They should have all the information you need.
