Hey guys, I am new here...I have an idea of what I want to do. #1 I have some home movies on dvd (non-encrypted) that I want to convert to Divx/Xvid. Essentially say 1 gig for every 2 hours of footage. So, what is a good software utility for that. #2 I want to store the Divx/Xvid files on a portable harddrive...Then, I was wonderring if there is a piece of hardware (Divx/Xvid player) that has a USB connection that can detect a portable harddrive and you can play certain Divx/Xvid files via a menu system on a television. So for question #2...Does a Divx/Xvid player like that exist?
