I have downloaded a few movies and when I go to view a few of them the picture 'jerks and jumps on the screen' although the quality looks good. Any ideas for a newbie. This has happened to about 4 of 15 movies.

It's a bad file. I don't think there is anything you can do

That would be true if (s)he burned the movie.

I'm assuming (s)he just downloaded and is viewing them :)

I got the same problem, but I dont think that its the file because it works fine when i play that dvd through my XBox.
Tested it in 2 DVD Players and the picture jumps.
Thinking maybe its an encoding issue ?

I'm assuming that the downloaded file is most likely a DiVx mpe4 movie. The link below just might add some light to your problem and perhaps even provide for a fix.

Sorry for not specifying the file type. It was an .IMG file. DVD Rip.
