   this may sound noobish and stupid but is there anyway i can burn mpegs to a cd-r using nero? if there is could you please tell me?

   You can only burn Mpeg1 VCD or Mpeg2 SVCD to a CD-R. If you have Nero Vision Express converting and/or burning will be a breeze.
