1.Use TMPGEnc to convert ur mpeg to mpeg 2(dvd compliant)
2.then put ur mpeg2 into TMPGEencDVDauthor to authour ur mpeg 2 to get ur files needed for burning dvd(vob's and such)
3.now just burn with ur chossing burning prog the files inside the VIDEO_TS folder that TMPGEencDVDauthor created.

I already did that, I went and converted it to mpeg 2 but DVD author said an error

*The video sequence header is incorrect.

The video sequence header is incorrect.
A video sequence header is necessary for every GOP in a standard DVD.

How do I fix this? Do i have to follow the instruction like fix the audio or something? or do I just have to go to tmpegnc and convert it into mpeg-2 and then go to tmpeg dvd author and add the file?

We need details! Im so dumb really honestly, its like a problem with computers and me

    yes but this step

Now, go to Option menu and select Environmental settings. This opens a new window. Go to External tool tab. Select Layer-2 checkbox and click Browse to locate your tooLame.exe from your HDD.

Then select Sampling frequency convertor and click Browse to locate your SSRC.exe. After you've done this, click OK to return back to the main window.

is not there on the current tmpegnc I have. It says audio engine and when i click on browse it doesnt have the file im lookin for.

Also how do i fix the error with the sequence GOP something?

Don't hold me to this, but won't NeroVision with the DVD-Video plugin do all of this for you?

I downloaded the MPEG2-DVD Plugin (which I think is the same thing as the DVD-Video Plugin)from Nero's main site, and it installed in the regular Nero Burning-rom folder.

I then downloaded the NeroVision Update and proceeded to transcode and burn an .avi to DVD and it worked fine.

....but the reason I'm unclear is because I did not try to burn an mpeg. I'm wondering if the NeroVision will burn the mpeg to DVD with the MPEG2 plugin installed in the regular Nero Burning Rom or if it already had the plugin installed. Or will NeroVision recognize the plugin even though it is in another folder and not in the NeroVision folder.

And afterall I've only tried to burn an avi and not an mpeg to DVD so I may be wrong all around, but emmami take a look at that Nero software. It looks like Nero is trying to make it almost an all-purpose software with some exceptions.

I have never done VCD to DVD. Just looked at the guides.

I do see that they say that you may have to use VCDGear first.
The TMPGEnc guide is using TMPGEnc Plus.

I have the same question here, where can you actually download the plug-in for Nero? I meant the DVD plug-in that you have mention, because seems it isn't available in the Nero web site.

This whole thread seems to have a newbie foot in mouth (keyboard) problem.
Maybe we can see how many of them don't read the rules and become inactive.

    [first paragraph edited: BEHAVE] !!

I was able to sucessfully burn an mpeg to DVD with the DVD-Video plugin installed in the Nero folder instead of the NeroVision folder. Your system should detect it wherever it is.

Nero has become my all-in-one coding-burning center. I don't know if it is the program that produces the best quality, but it works and the quality is satisfactory for me. I do use DVDShrink, but that associates itself with Nero so I consider it a part of Nero.

By the way now that i haven't got the plug-in so i tried the first way that Carefree told me which is using the TMPGEencDVDauthor but now i have a second problem. The output of the TMPGEencDVDauthor is somehow having problem which makes the audio goes about 10 seconds late. Which means whenever that line was suppost to be spoken it actaully have it 10 seconds late. Does anyone know why? i have tried it twice and same thing happened and i already tested my MPEG-2 files and no problem on that one. Anyone else experienced this before?

Ok I finally found the miniscule links to toolame.exe and ssrc.exe

The webmaster might consider making the links a bit larger for those of us whose eyesight has dimmed since we studied ibm machine code at L. A. Trade tech in 1966 :)

How do you add the audio in TMPGEnc DVD AUTHOR...........
You know the audio file that was created in TMPGEnc when you converted the mpeg to mpeg 2 (dvd compliant)
