MPEG-1 or MPEG-2? MPEG-2 files can be burned directly to DVD-R in DVD-Video format -- some authoring tools just require that you demux the files first.

Is that true? I have a million mpeg2 files I would like to put on DVD-Video. Is it true that I do not need to convert them to vob files? May I use them exactly as is?

    Thanks for the information.

mnty: You just need to get a DVD authoring software -- VOBs _are_ MPEG-2 files, they just have a slightly different header structure, etc. And audio must be at 48kHz, so if your files have 44.1kHz audio, you need to demux them and re-encode the audio to 48kHz.
