Hi, I've got VirtualDub 1.4.7 and this mpeg4 v2 .avi file won't load in it. Nor will it load in any other editing program I've got including TMPEG. I've got both the DivX311 and 412 codecs installed and a DivX412 encoded file that WILL load in VDub.

This particular mpeg4 v2 file will only play in MS Media Player version 7. Could the file just be bad, am I missing a codec, or is something not right for this type of encoded file not to be loading in any of my editing programs.

Actually, I've got a bunch of files with this codec and none of them are loading (in the editing software). Could the hacked codec used to encode these bunch of files just be buggy?

MPEG4 v2 actually means Microsoft's Windows Media Video format even that same description is used for DivX v3.11 alpha which is based on hacked WMV codec. That might explain why it doesn't load correctly.
