    Hi,

I've downloaded a .mpg file and WMPlayer says it can't play it because it is not a supported type. In fact, that's what all the players I have say, that it is not a supported filetype.

AVICodec says it is not a supported file type while GSpot says "File Type: Unknown; Mime Type: Unknown".

I had downloaded it once before and after getting the error I figured it probably got corrupted so I re-downloaded, but same result.

    Some help would be appreciated.

I'm not exactly sure which those would be - but I have the DivX pack and up to this video I've never had any problems watching anything else.

The stickied thread about what codecs you should have and all here on this forum was last updated in like 2004 so I'm not sure where to get info on what the best codecs to use would be.
