    Hello,
    I just bought Pioneer 575A Universal Player
    My question have to do not only with this player but I think with all SACD, DVD-Audio players.
    I have 4 speakers (Left,Right,LeftSuround,RightSuround) and I have connected
    the 5.1 outputs of DVD to 5.1 analog inputs thas my AV amplifier (Marantz 4300) has.

    For Pioneer 575A, I have the settings below:
    1) Initial Settins->Speakers->Audio Output Mode-> 5.1 Channel
    2) Initial Settins->Speakers->Speaker Installation->
    L Large
    C Off
    R Large
    RS Large
    LS Large
    SW Off

    My question: when I play multichannel SACDs or DVD-Audios, the outputs of Center and Subwoofer,
    are downmixed to other channels or are lost?
    If are downmixed, to which channel?

    Thanks
    George

    if you are telling your DVD player those speakers are off, I doubt the audio is lost. My guess is that the center is split between the two fronts.
