I downloaded a movie that consists of two DVD’s and am trying to figure out how I can tell which files belong on DVD 1 and which belong on DVD 2. Here what I have for VOB files:

    VIDEO_TS.VOB 2,074 KB
    VTS_01_0.VOB 56,346 KB
    VTS_01_1.VOB 1,048,574 KB
    VTS_01_2.VOB 1,048,574 KB
    VTS_01_3.VOB 1,048,574 KB
    VTS_01_4.VOB 1,048,574 KB
    VTS_01_5.VOB 286,062 KB
    VTS_02_0.VOB 8 KB
    VTS_02_1.VOB 34 KB
    VTS_03_0.VOB 8 KB
    VTS_03_1.VOB 5,416 KB
    VTS_04_0.VOB 8 KB
    VTS_04_1.VOB 12,242 KB
    VTS_05_0.VOB 8 KB
    VTS_05_1.VOB 6,056 KB
    VTS_06_0.VOB 8 KB
    VTS_06_1.VOB 8,120 KB

There’s also a bunch of BUP and IFO files. I can get the VOB’s imported and burned using Nero or Roxio but it’s a real hassle going through them trying to figure out which is which.

Is there an easy way (or proggie) to tell which belongs where ?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance !!!!!

Unfortunately from the files you have listed it is not going to be possible to tell what VOBS belong on what DVD, you may well need to have a look at each VOB file to find out where it belongs.

You would then need to reauthor to make each disc work.

But as said above it does appear to be one disc as opposed to two have you tried loading the files into something like Power DVD (This will tell you if the disc is one or not)

For some reason, Power DVD won't play any of them. I get an error message. I can play them in Nero Express after importing them though. When I encode it in Roxio, It basically pulled them all together and made one 9 GB file.

I'll give dvdremake a try and see if it works.

Thanks for yuor help and prompt replies !

Have you tried putting all the fileas in a VIDEO_TS folder and then usinng the option "Open DVD fie on hard disc drive".

If this does not work then the file structure is most likely screwed.

So it was a single disc after all.

    Glad you got it sorted.
