    first time here im wondering if i can make .wma or mp3 data dvd's on my comp and play it on a wma or mp3 cd player? help me out here guys thanks

    Unless your player is capable of reading DVDs I don't think it's possible.

    yeah if its only a cd mp3 player it won't read DVDs. the information on the DVD is in a much much much thinner spiral than it is on CDs (therefore more info can be stored) and lasers designed for CDs only can't read them.

    analogy: take an LP record...if you have another record that the grooves are twenty times thinner, the needle won't be able to fit in the grooves and read the music

    thanks! its much easier for me to learn things by visualizing it, so I figure some others are the same way (unless I'm just special)
